SEPT 8 WEEK 1

William Craig - Cross Country Taylor Patterson - Tennis


William came in fifth during both cross country meets last week.  William is a member of both our swimming team and cross country team.  On Wednesday, he participated in both events during the same day.  On Saturday, he ran a PR of 19:10

She won a big match on Tuesday against the #1 girl from AC Flora 6-1, 6-1 and then teamed up with Clair Larkin to win the #1 doubles court 6-0, 6-0 allowing the Lady Cats to get the 4-3 win over Flora.  Then on Thursday in her 1st region match, she quickly disposed of her opponent 6-0, 6-1

SEPT 17 WEEK 2
Drew Harris - Cross Country Maureen Dunnegan - Girls Golf
Drew ran a PR 17:16 to finish 6th in county meet, earning all county for the 3rd consecutive year and helping team to a 2nd place finish. Maureen won the Palmetto High School Tournament with a two day total of 147.  She shot 71 the second day tying the school record.  She helped the team to a 2nd place finish.
Jeffery Mead - Swimming Kelsey Smith - Swimming

Jeffrey won the Swim for Drew across Lake Murray and in a meet against North Augusta he won all 4 of his events (50 free, 400 free, 400 free relay, and 200 medley relay)

Kelsey set 4 school varsity swimming records at the Dreher Invitational (16 other schools)- her 1st place in the girls 200 freestyle and 2nd place in the 100 freestyle helped the girls team to a second place finish and the combined boys/girls team to a first place finish overall.

OCT 1 WEEK 4
Will Belue - Cross Country Kellie Schmidt: - Volleyball

Will led the boys cross country team to a 2nd place finish in the Pelion Invitational by placing 6th with a time of 17:21.  He then finished in the top 20 of the Citadel Invitational.

Kellie led the team to wins over North Augusta, previously unbeaten White Knoll and Dorman, and a 2nd place finish at Dorman's Tournament of Champions.  She had 140 kills, 44 digs, 7 blocks, and 12 aces during the week.

OCT 8 WEEK 5
Jay Lloyd - Cross Country Clair Larkin - Girls Tennis

Jay ran a PR of 17:37 on Wednesday for a 4th place overall in meet vs North Augusta and Richland NE.

Clair went 3-0 in region matches this past week.  Then at the Hall of Fame tournament in Belton, she won the 2nd flight by defeating girls from AC Flora, Hilton Head, and Mauldin.
 

OCT 15 WEEK 6
Eric Wenzinger - Swimming Dora Wells - Swimming

Eric helped lead the boys swim team to a 5th place finish at the AAAA State Championship by finishing 8th in the 100 yd breaststroke and 11th 200 yd Individual Medley.  Eric was also a member of the 200 freestyle relay and the
 400 freestyle relay teams that finished 4th and 5th respectively. 
 

Dora helped lead the girls swim team to a 6th place at the AAAA State Championship by finishing 8th in 50 yd freestyle.  She also was a member of the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay that finished 4th and 6th
 respectively.  Both relay teams set school records with their performance.

OCT 22 WEEK 7

Christian Carver - B oys C Country Clair Larkin - Girls Tennis

Christian is a 4th year senior and the heart and soul of our team providing inspiration to all of our runners, he also ran a pr of 20:29 at the region meet.
 

Clair went 3-0 in region matches this past week.  Then at the Hall of Fame tournament in Belton, she won the 2nd flight by defeating girls from AC Flora, Hilton Head, and Mauldin.

NOV 7TH WEEK 8TH

Danielle Dunnagan - Girls Golf

Laura Grace Swindler - Girls Volleyball


Danielle helped lead the girls golf team to their 5th straight state championship.  She did this by winning the tournament with a scores of 70-72 for a 2 under par 142.  She is the first Lexington girls golfer to win the state individual

Laura Grace helped lead the volleyball team to the lower state championship against Wando.  She led the team in assist during their playoff and region championship run.
