Wrestling Camp
Date: June 15-18
Ages: Rising 5th – 12th graders
Time: 9:00 – 12:00

Type:  The purpose of this camp is for wrestlers of Lexington School District One to gain experience.  Campers will be divided into groups by their weight.  The activities of the camp will focus on the fundamentals of wrestling.  These will included basic moves and techniques and will coves the basic aspects of the sport of wrestling.  Lexington High School Coaches Derek Strobel and Mitch Hudson will provide instruction.  A t-shirt will be given to all wrestlers who pre-register BEFORE May 31st.

WILDCAT WRESTLERS SEND 7 TO STATE
The varsity wrestling team traveled down to Ft. Dorchester for the Lower State Individual Qualifying on Saturday. The team did outstanding with 7 wrestlers qualifying. The Wildcats had 3 first place finishes, 2 second place finishes and 2 third place finishes.. Below are the results for Lower State Finishes for the Wildcats. You can view the brackets

WRESTLERS NAMED TO NORTH SOUTH ROSTERS
Kraig Crawford has been named to the South Carolina team that will face Georgia. This year SC has placed seniors on a roster to face seniors from Georgia. Kraig will wrestle at 171 and is ranked 2nd in the state in the 189lb class. Congratulations Kraig!! Also...Zach Howerton at 152 (ranked 2nd) and Hampton Motley at 125 (ranked 3rd) have been named to the South's Roster. Congratulations guys!! A great job this season!

WILDCATS TAKE 3RD IN INDIAN CLASSIC

The varsity wrestling team traveled to Kingsport, Tn this weekend to participate in the Indian Classic. There were 28 teams from TN, GA, VA, WVA, NC, SC. Hampton Motley took home most valuable wrestler in the lower weight division! Other wrestlers besides Motley who took home gold were Kraig Crawford and Steven Dorrell. Stay tuned for more details.
